The journey of Sakthi Opticals began in 1958, in the small, serene village of Ancheri, Thrissivaperoor, Kerala, with a young and passionate entrepreneur – Nayaruparambil Narayani Koppan Kunjunni. At just 26 years old, Shri Kunjunni, a social activist, founded Sakthi Studio and went on to become a founding member of the All Kerala Photographers Association. Driven by an unshakable vision and a relentless commitment to quality, he established Sakthi Opticals, a venture that would go on to create an enduring legacy in the optical industry.
Despite starting with humble beginnings, Shri Kunjunni’s unwavering belief in long-term success over quick fixes became the cornerstone of the company. Sakthi Opticals flourished under his leadership, evolving from a small optical store to a trusted name known for quality eyewear and personalized service. His foresight and passion for excellence laid the groundwork for what would become a family legacy spanning over six decades.
As the company grew, Smt. Komalavalli Kunjunni, his wife, took on the mantle of leadership, ensuring the company’s vision remained strong and progressive. With over 50 years of experience in entrepreneurship, she helped navigate new challenges, and under her guidance, Sakthi Opticals continued to innovate, diversify, and expand.
Today, the torch has been passed on to the next generation: Smt. Shimi Deepak, who now leads Sakthi Nethra Opticals & Eye Clinic, and Deepak N. Kunjunni, who is spearheading the exciting new venture i-krafts - a brand focused on creating Make in India eyewear, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, modern designs.
As the business enters its third generation, Unni N Deepak and Gowri N Deepak, children of Shimi and Deepak, are preparing to take the company to even greater heights. With the guidance and wisdom of the previous generations, they are ready to shape the future, ensuring that the vision established in 1958 continues to thrive in an ever-changing world.
